We’re pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the 24th International Drying Symposium (IDS 2026), taking place from 25-28 August 2026.

The symposium brings together researchers and industry professionals working across the field of drying, with this year’s theme focusing on “Strategies for Reducing the Carbon Footprint of Drying in a Resource-Constrained World.”

We will be exhibiting at Booth 07, where we look forward to discussing how gravimetric sorption analysis can support drying research and the characterisation of materials and processes.

What to Expect

IDS 2026 will explore developments across the drying and dewatering field, bringing together researchers and industry professionals to discuss current challenges and emerging approaches.

Hiden Isochema’s gravimetric sorption analyzers provide precise, real-time measurement of how materials gain and lose moisture. By revealing equilibrium sorption behaviours and drying rates under controlled conditions, gravimetric sorption delivers critical data needed by drying research.

Applications include desiccants, porous sorbents, biological and pharmaceutics, agriculture and food, polymers, cement, and wood, pulp and paper.

Gravimetric Sorption: A Foundation of Drying Research

To accompany our attendance at IDS 2026, we’ve put together a guide exploring the role of gravimetric sorption in drying research.

The flyer includes example data covering applications such as cement, silica gel, MOFs, zeolite 13X, polymers and wood, demonstrating how gravimetric sorption can be used to characterise both drying processes and materials used in drying applications.
