Advanced DVS for water and organic vapor sorption
- Flexible water and organic vapor sorption in a compact benchtop system
- Next Generation Vapor Sorption Module with dual vapor generators for rapid, efficient solvent changeovers
- Exceptional temperature control and programmability from 5 to 85 °C
IGAsorp Ultra is a compact dynamic vapor sorption (DVS) system, designed for maximum flexibility and built for modern laboratories. The Next Generation Vapour Sorption Module unlocks a wider range of DVS conditions than ever before, enabling fast, stable and highly accurate studies across water and organic vapors. With robust engineering that maintains exceptional measurement reliability even under demanding environments, IGAsorp Ultra is the definitive choice for laboratories that value both innovation and dependability.
The IGAsorp Ultra integrates dual vapour generators for flexible multi-solvent studies with direct concentration measurements for traceable vapour control. Highly stable temperature regulation is delivered through the isothermal design of the sorption module, while a highly sensitive microbalance captures mass changes with high resolution across the full humidity/vapor pressure and temperature range. Effortless operation and automation run throughout the system and HIsorp software, making DVS measurements quick to setup, easy to control and consistently reliable from the very first data point.
Designed for multi-vapor DVS workflows
The IGAsorp Ultra’s Next Generation Vapor Sorption Module integrates key components required for water and organic vapor studies into a single, temperature-controlled platform.
Two independent vapor generators allow different vapors to be immediately accessible, while high-efficiency purging helps minimise carryover when switching between conditions.
Real-time vapor sensing provides direct monitoring of the conditions being delivered to the sample, giving users greater confidence that programmed experimental conditions are being achieved.
Dual vapor generators
Two independent vapor generators provide flexibility when working with water and organic vapors. While one vapor is in use, a second can be primed and ready for use in measurements.
Rapid, efficient solvent changeovers
Highly efficient, automatic purging following vapor changes minimise unwanted carryover between measurements.
Direct vapor concentration measurement
Integrated sensors provide real-time monitoring of relative humidity and organic vapor concentrations. A unique absolute pressure sensor ensures high accuracy for reported partial pressure readings.
Easy-refill reservoirs
Each vapor generator is supplied and kept at a constant fill level by an externally mounted 250 mL reservoir. Reservoirs can be refilled during measurements without interrupting the experiment.
Effortless sample loading
Sample loading is fast and simple, with clear access, easy single‑finger placement, and an automated shield that protects the chamber and retracts smoothly for trouble‑free loading.
Exceptional temperature control and programmability
IGAsorp Ultra delivers precise, programmable temperature control from 5–85 °C with tightly regulated circulation and multi‑sensor feedback that maintains ±0.005 °C stability over 24 hours. Alternative thermostat options are available.
High stability microbalance
IGAsorp Ultra’s independent balance thermostat ensures long-term baseline stability, enabling confident measurement of sub-microgram sorption events.
Accelerated accuracy for equilibrium determination
The IGAsorp Ultra applies Hiden Isochema’s IGA method to capture both sorption kinetics and equilibrium behaviour.
During an experiment, weight-time data is continuously analysed and modelled in real time. The resulting trend toward equilibrium is used to predict the endpoint, allowing objective criteria to be applied before the measurement advances to the next experimental condition.
This approach can reduce unnecessary waiting for natural equilibration while maintaining consistent and repeatable equilibrium determination.
