Enhancing Gas Separation Research at Khalifa University

Hiden Isochema is pleased to complete the successful installation and commissioning of a XEMIS gravimetric sorption analyzer and an ABR automated breakthrough analyzer at Khalifa University’s Research and Innovation Center on CO₂ and Hydrogen (RICH) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Hiden Isochema engineer, Michael Harrison, with Khalifa University researchers on completion of ABR training

The instruments will support the Center’s research focused on the nanoscale engineering of porous sorbents for sustainable chemistry applications, including CO₂ capture and hydrogen technologies.

By enabling precise high pressure gravimetric sorption measurements alongside automated dynamic breakthrough analysis, the XEMIS and ABR systems provide researchers with complementary advanced capabilities for evaluating adsorption behaviour and material performance under realistic process conditions.

Khalifa University Ranks 183rd in 2022 QS World University Rankings - Khalifa UniversityThis installation supports ongoing work into next-generation porous materials for gas separation and storage, helping to bridge the gap between laboratory-scale materials development and real-world application.

We look forward to supporting future research at Khalifa University as the RICH Center continues to advance materials innovation for clean energy technologies.
