UKCCS Research Community Spring Conference 2024

We were pleased to participate in the UK Carbon Capture and Storage Research Community (UKCCSRC) 2024 Spring Conference, held in Manchester recently. Dr. Mark Roper attended to represent Hiden Isochema and present a poster entitled “Competitive adsorption of CO2, HO vapor, N and SO on activated carbon for CO capture from flue gases”.

The two-day event, also preceded by an ECR away day, was a success with around 200 delegates participating – those unable to attend in person participated in the oral sessions via a remote registration option. Both online and in person delegates were able to submit questions for speakers via a real-time online platform, as well as in the conventional manner. Covering all aspects of carbon capture and storage, the poster session triggered lively discussion and highlighted the truly interdisciplinary nature of the research community.

thorough report on each session is available on the UKCCSRC website and recordings of presentations for the majority of speakers are also available online. Additionally, the conference website includes a poster gallery where a number of posters presented at the meeting can be viewed.

Congratulations to the poster prize winners and thanks to the organisers for a stimulating and inclusive event!
