Glossary: Hydride

A chemical compound formed between hydrogen and an element such as palladium or a compound such as LaNi₅. Some hydrides such as LaNi₅-H are reversible with hydrogen pressure at near ambient conditions and are cited as potential hydrogen storage materials.
