We are recruiting an Applications Scientist and a Product Manager

Due to our continued expansion, Hiden Isochema is recruiting for two exciting new roles. Working alongside the Sales and Applications team at our headquarters in Warrington, England, both roles involve interaction with existing Hiden Isochema staff, our local representatives, and customers, as well as international travel. Typical customer points of contact are technically focussed, and range from technicians and research students to R&D team leaders and senior academics.

Applications Scientist (Gas Separations)

We are recruiting an Applications Scientist to help further develop applications of our existing and future products. The role is primarily focussed on adsorption-based gas separation applications and so prior experience working on gas separations within a research environment would be an advantage. Responsibilities include identifying, developing, and documenting applications with a focus on the evolving requirements of our customers. The Applications Scientist will interact with colleagues in all areas of the business; primarily with technical sales, customer support, product development and software personnel. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as presenting the latest product and application developments to the scientific community is a key aspect of the role.

The minimum qualification required is a PhD in physical sciences or engineering, or equivalent experience in adsorption-based separations in a research environment. The role will include international travel to represent the company at academic conferences, seminars and trade shows, and also involves delivering scientific presentations both in person and online.

Product Manager

We are recruiting a Product Manager with specific responsibility for our benchtop sorption analyzers. The Product Manager will oversee all aspects of the product line, and so the role involves working closely with colleagues in mechanical and electronic design, product engineering, software, production, customer support, technical sales and marketing. As we seek to expand the product line, the role also includes project management of new product design, as well as demonstration of the operation of the sorption analyzers and the delivery of training, both internally and externally. Previous experience of using benchtop sorption analyzers, and knowledge of the associated science, is therefore an advantage.
